Welcome to Pashupati Sah's page on SciFi screenplays that he wished were filmed at some point in future. Only first couple of pages of each screenplay will be shown here. If you are interested in SciFi movies then do consider visiting THIS PAGE.
Announcer: My name may be familiar to you, but I will not say it in case someone turns another one of my stories into a horrible fantasy version of an OTT series….. and to think I toiled days and days to come up with a new branch of mathematics to keep things logical just to see my characters receiving visions……huffff…… but I digress.
I am only here to say that I hope this story amuses you. And if it doesn’t, remember that I have also written about 7 and a half million words of non-science-fiction, and you are at least spared any of that……..
PROLOGUE
Metal-looking wreckage strewn around in a room…. The room represents a portion of the space ship Silver Queen. There is a scifi-design couch in the center of the stage, a single scifi-style chair towards the right, next to a single scifi-style table, and a control panel at back of the stage. Light is low and flickering from different corners of the stage….
Warren Moore is lying nearest to the couch
Mark Brandon is a few feet away.
Mike Shea is not visible at this time.
Warren is clearly the eldest character (not more 50) and Mark the youngest (not more than 30).
Warren Moore stirs, looks at his watch, takes it off and throws it away, implying it is of no use anymore. He shakes Mark Brandon who comes to, slowly, and then quickly gets up and runs around looking through the different corridor ways….
Mike Shea, another member of the crew, gets up from the other, dark corner of the room, and slowly walks around some wreckage towards the center of the stage looking through the side doors.
Mark: That was an asteroid!
Mike (holding his head): No kidding….
Warren slowly drags himself to the control panel and starts droning…
Warren: This is the only part of the ship that has life systems running. In fact, this is the only part of the ship that is still in one piece…. We are in an orbit around Vesta. We have food supply for a week. The regional Gravitator under the room will keep us at normal weight for an indefinite amount of time. The lighting system, as you can see, is unpredictable, but should last for some time. There is no heating however it would take a long time for the ship to radiate enough heat into the vacuum of space to make us uncomfortable. All communications are down and we have no propulsion of any kind any more. But these three rooms are still amazingly airtight!
Mark: All we need is a short burst of fuel jet and we can safely get to Vesta.
Warren (waving in no particular direction, sighs and says): All the storage spaces are gone.
Warren squints into a small monitor…..
Warren: We have the sum total of one spacesuit, one heat ray, and one detonator…… and oh, by the way, we have only three days of air……
The room darkens…..

The sound of a woman's boots made clicking sound on the floor of an enormous hall in a building whose ceiling was too high to be clearly visible. The insides of the building were like the insides of the sail of a gigantic ship.
As she approached a large desk (that looked like a reception area) she sees a man wearing dark glasses, her step faltered and then quickened as she recognized his face.
Valya: Director! I did not expect that you would be waiting for me yourself.
While the woman was in her mid-thirties, the man was maybe in his forties. The man's clothese and demeanor gave him a distinguished look. He wore a paor of strange-looking dark glasses. His eyes are not visible through the lens and he never smiled.
Director: Well, Ms. Valentina....
Valya: Please call me Valya.
Director: Well.... Valya, your research topic is of a personal interest to me. Let me show you around.
The two walk down a corridor leading away from the reception area.
Director: We are a small team of ten here. At any given time we have some visiting researchers. While all the data is available online, viewing the actual artifacts can some times give one a better understanding, as I am sure you will discover soon. Come. Let me introduce you to the other visiting fellows. I understand you have already met our diligent staff at the dinner yesterday.
